Problems with WMV files

Postby technopagan7 » 12 Apr 2005 05:09

Hello all, I'm having problems playing a lot of WMV files. I have the sound but I get no video at all. I'm using a Mac with OS X. Is there any codec or anything I can download to make these files play? I've tried tons of programs, and this is by far the best, but I just want to see the video.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I did do a search, but I have no idea if these files are wmv3 or not. I thought they were just regular wmv files. How do you tell? And if they are, is there any program in existance that will play them on a Mac?

you can use the "stream and media info" dialog to see the video codec. wmv1 and wmv2 are ok. wmv3 will only work on windows.
