I cant't receive a strem under linux

Hello!
I have Fedora3,
I installed VLC (latest version) with all codec availables,
I want to test the stream video
I send a flux video on the multicast 224.0.0.1, I view the stream udp by Ethereal,
But I cant receive it by VLC!
What's problem
(I haven't this problem in windows)

You should give us more informations

launch vlc with -vvv or look in view/messages

and i 'm not sure 224.0.0.1 is a good multicast ip ( might be in the administration range) better use ip bigger than 224.1.0.0

the only message warning is
" config file /root/.vlc/vlcrc does not exist yet"

I test the stream output, I receive the stream in an other Pc but in WIndows!
i send all message
