Knoppix compatibility

I want to run VideoLan under Linux Knoppix.
Is there a compatibilty ?
Which OS will I select on the VideoLan download page ?

Knoppix is Debian based, so I would say debian. I have no idea however if Knoppix is enough like Debian to actually use packages for debian.

Ask a knoppix experience person i'd say.
