Green screen

Postby larzone » 11 Feb 2005 16:41

When I watch some movifiles in VLC, screen goes green and VLC "crash".
I Use XP Pro and use NVidia FX 5600. Other players, like BS work's fine but I prefere VLC, no trouble with Codec in VLC and that's great!
Thank you to all replyers.
Sincerly Peter.

You may be running into HW driver issues.

Make sure you have the latest DirectX from MS, and check for latest drivers from NVidia.

Try turning off the hardware overlay option. It is accessible through Settings -- Preferences -- General Settings -- Video (you'll need to select the "Advanced options" checkbox to see the hardware overlay option)

While in the Video page, you can try selecting a specific video display method -- there's DirectX, OpenGL. Try forcing one, then the other, see if that helps.
