Ignorant Newbie Had then lost it

Just loaded 072 Started playing a video Mpeg. It started playing great. until I decided to pause it . When I went to Play it again I got no Video. Just Audio. Now that is all I get even after Closing it and reopening it. The interesting thing is that while I'm listening to the Audio and go to Close the program, I get a split second of Video just as it closes.
What did I do, Did I screw up a setting somehow? I tried a .VOB and it does the same thing.
