No image on TV

I try to watch DVD played on PC with my TV. To do this I activate my s-video output on my video card and plug wire on my TV. Then I see both DVD movie and Windows display (frames and task bar) on my PC, but only Windows display on my TV. All video are blank!

Can you please help me?

Many graphics chips only have one HW engine. Use your PC graphics vendor's control applet so that the TV output is set as primary, with the monitor set as the clone of the TV output. Then you should get a good TV out signal (though your PC monitor will just display a blank frame where the video goes).
