AmiNet and VLC

I read that the Aminet STB will work with Videolan.

Anyone done this? Which encoding do you stream? Can it decode the MPEG-TS?

Sadly there is very little info on using Videolan with Aminet out there. The Aminet box costs about $500, which is alot to buy with no idea how to get it to work

Any more info on experiences with it would be great. I primarily want it for a home VoD system.
