GPU playback can be slower than CPU when the GPU bandwidth is too small.

this is strange, as new GMA HD in Core i3 processors is located directly on the CPU (if I'm not mistaken)

Well, I have noticed one thing. When I enable GPU decoding - video plays extremely slow. When I disable GPU decoding video plays well, and I guess using only the CPU. With GPU decoding even 720p plays toooooo slow and hanging VLC player. Why GPU playback more slower than CPU? Or I did something wrong?

Does this feature work on Ubuntu 10.10 amd64 with Intel GMA HD? I have Acer TimelineX 1830T with Core i3 processor.
