Try to select the following option:
Tools -> Preferences -> Audio -> Always reset audio start level to: 100%

Try to remux your TS file by using tsMuxeR.
It works for me.

I've tried vlc-2.0.7-20130505 and vlc-2.1.0-pre1-20130505 without results.

I can't play the CAF audio files with VLC 2.0.6, but I seem to recall that it was possible with previous versions.

It's easy.
Install VLC 2.0.6 and try to convert any media file to mp3 format.

When installing VLC, you can deselect file type association options, flagged by default. In addition, you can restore WMP associations in Tools-Options menu of WMP. No, it's the only way.

Tools-> Preferences -> Interface settings -> Pause on the last frame of a video. Restart VLC.

The thumbnails aren't generated by VLC.

Yes, it's true. I think this trouble is linked to maximize button on upper right corner of VLC. Waiting for a new VLC version.

I'm using VLC 2.0.3 on WinXP-sp3.
Vlc starts playing .spx audio files at 4 secs. No problem with other players like aimp3.

Install the latest version of k-lite with lav filters. This is a codec problem.

I think it is a Windows problem; vlc does not automatically generates thumbnails.

Download the portable versions.

VLC 2.0.1 plays a .264 file after renaming the extension to .h264: does not recognize it?
