Hello, try vlc < 1.1.0, at least 1.0.6 can show DVB subtitles fine, but > 1.1 can't since they moved the telx subtitle handling to vlc-plugin-zvbi and at least for me it does not work properly; subs are shown only every now and then, and the font is totally ugly, and it does not follow the sub langu...
