Using VLC 1.1.5 under XP I noted that every time I watch a video in full-screen (almost always) VLC crashes when the video reaches the end or when I click the stop button. It does not crash if I switch to window mode beforehand (which I often forget to do).

A bug?

I use VLC also to play mp3, especially classical music. Unfortunately VLC plays a "plop" notification sound whenever starting a new track (at the same time it displays a message box with the new track info). How can I diable the sound?
