Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

Not having a background in a/v muxers, I do not know if I would even be able to spot what would be wrong there. Is anybody that has a chance to do so likely to take this on? Do I need to find your bug tracker and submit an issue there?

Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

What/where specifically are the issues?
Do you think this is fixable?

(sorry for not responding sooner, I was out of town...)

Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

As I noted, asfbin did not seem to change anything. So ... assuming that the files are _standard_ (and avoiding the complications of the non-standard ones) why would seek be so inaccurate in wmv/asf and not in the other formats? Is there something inherant in the wmv format that would cause this?

Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

Yes, the .asf file produced by asfbin from my .wmv file exhibits the same symptom in 1.1.5 The file produced by "ffmpeg -i myclip.wmv -target ntsc-dvd -y transcoded.mpg" does _not_ exhibit the symptom. The jump problem is in .wmv (and apparently in .asf) files. Even if the asfbin worked, i...

The one from here http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... 0823-1412/
is not successfully opening any video files (.wmv, .mpg, .mp4 tried so far)

Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

The Windows nightly from here http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win ... 0823-0203/
calls itself 1.1.2-git. It behaves as I described before.

.WMV search still broken (v1.1.5)

Sorry, I apparently posted this in the windows-only forum before (because that is where the previous thread on broken wmv search was). Reposting here because the problem does not seem to be OS-specific. I found earlier postings talking about search in .wmv files crashing, but that this was fixed in ...

Re: Search in WMV files is broken in version 0.9.x-1.0.x

Still broken (1.1.5) but not the same way. Seek to about 20 seconds in on a .wmv file will end up at about 14 seconds. If you use the "ctrl+t" jump this is all you see. If you use the drag bar you may see the time display in the lower right show :20 before updating to show :14 instead. .mp...

Stuck on 1.1.4 ?

The announcements says 1.1.6 is available, but all I can get is 1.1.4 (1.1.4-1ubuntu1.3)

Ubuntu 10.10. I have a "universe" repository active.

Re: Automatic Resize of embebbed VLC...

Which browser are you using, and which operating system? I have no problems resizing the plugin under IE, or even under Firefox-for-Windows, however when I am using Firefox-for-linux (Ubuntu) resize does not work. The window will resize, but the playing video will remain the original size. That is, ...

Re: Resizing Plugin does not work on linux client.

There was not even a response to this problem, much less a solution. We are experienceing the the same issue with the 1.0.6 (Goldeneye) vlc mozilla plugin on ubuntu. Test page shows resizing working when run under Firefox under Windows, but it does not work when running under Firefox under Linux. Do...

Getting playing media name

Ok, I haven't found this in the basic docs -- how do I get the name of the clip that is currently playing?

Playlist Items ...

Ok, I have a few questions about playlist items. First, I am trying to get the filename/url of the currently playing item, and I see no way to do this. Second, the playlist.playItem() method uses some sort of id value you get from playlist.add(), and this is explictly mentioned as not being a positi...
