This hasn't always happened. I just updated to 0.8.6c and all of a sudden my VLC crashes when I run a MKV file. I don't know if my updating FFDShow has effected this or not. My problem is VLC crashes everytime i run a .mkv file now. Before i upgraded to this version it played .mkv files just fine and everything. All over file types run fine.

What is some extra information I could place here to help solve my problem?

I just installed the newest version of VLC and made ALL my file associations or whatever it could let me do during the vlc installation associate with VLC. I think it made a couple of file formats in firefox change over to a VLC Plugin when I go into the options menu. I now do not see any video embe...
