I found a workaround for now, by doing what the guy in post #7 of this thread did (viewtopic.php?f=14&t=81693), and then use the undocked playlist window and tray icon to control VLC.

But my problem is that the window closes when the video ends. I don't see how the size of my window has anything to do with it.

Just manually resize the window to the size you want to use.

Hello, I am using VLC on a laptop connected to a TV. The controls on the computer screen and the video is displayed on a TV.
