The player version is in my original post, Jean-Baptiste. It's 2.0.5.

I wanted to clip an mpg video file so used the record button on VLC player to do so. The clipping went well BUT the file it saved it as was an mp3 file so it had no video. I'm using VLC Player 2.0.5. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.

To play a '.divx+.srt' combo in VLC player, go to 'media>advanced open files', then in 'file selection' choose 'add' to select your .divx file. At the same time put a tick in the 'uses a subtitles file' box and browse for your .srt file. Click 'play' and they'll both play together. As akbeaman said,...
