I have just started using skins and when I select the menu and go to preferences and then click save or cancel I can no longer access the menu without first closing the program. IOW the menu is only available the first time you use it. I tried a bunch of different skins and it's the same in everyone...

I noticed that before in 1.1.4 so now in 1.1.5 I set the associations with Windows Explorer and everything is fine. BTW, I am using a portable version (so you can't install it) and this is for XP Pro SP3.
Solazy, very good post. I am now also wondering the same thing. BTW, give 1.1.4 a try. As I noted all you have to do is get in the habit of using "exit" from the "media" menu. So far it works fine on every media file I have played.
