VLsub again downloading only "Become OpenSubtitles.org VIP member"

Vlsub was working fine configured with an account from opensubtitles.org, but not anymore here. Every subtitle now just carries the message to subscribe to a VIP account. In January 2024 when there was much talk about the API limits, the info given was that if you were under 10 downloads per 24 hour...

Re: VLC on XBox Series X

Given the bad vibes in this thread, I’d like to thank the developers of VLAN on Xbox. It may not match the features of the desktop version, but I found it to be a convenient way of transferring and watching videos. Let me join you in that good feeling. No matter how entitled some people think they ...

Re: VLC Update Password

I found this issue today when updating on the Mac from 2.1.4 (I think) to 2.2.1. I had never seen this before on Mac or Windows. I pressed Cancel to the prompt and got the usual Install and Relaunch box. The program updated itself to 2.2.1 without problems. Still thinks this was weird and can scare ...

Re: VLC v.2.1.4 causing sporadic kernel panics

How can I access the logs on crash reports in osx?
I have several times sent the report to Apple but don't know where they are stored in the Mac.
Thanks.

VLC v.2.1.4 causing sporadic kernel panics

Hello I am on a MBP early 2011 with 8GB RAM and a 750GB SSD. OSX 10.9.2. I have very rarely got kernel panics on this machine but the last ones I have got have always been while watching MP4 videos in VLC. They happen maybe once a month. The outcome is always the same. Usually I am watching an MP4 f...

Re: Mouse cursor does not hide in fullscreen (1.1.2)

I will post this info again as there are a lot of user tests showing that uTorrent can be the culprit of this issue on their systems. In my case the problem is not related to uTorrent at all. Having it closed or opened makes absolutely no difference. In my system it is Task Manager that produces the...

Re: Mouse cursor does not hide in fullscreen (1.1.2)

It shouldn't be about systray icons since I have quite many of them (trillian, voddler, realtek etc.) and still VLC hides the cursors. Nothing to do with system icons. It is with Task Manager and appears to only affect the AVI container. I have played some MKV files and these ones don't show the pr...

Re: Mouse cursor does not hide in fullscreen (1.1.2)

Same issue here. Vista64, last VLC 1.1.4. Nvidia graphics. I can confirm that this is triggered by having TASK MANAGER opened at the same time as VLC is running. Closing Task Manager returns the mouse pointer hiding to its normal state. Try it yourselves, just close TM and the problem disappears. Th...
