Single file: Append "-converted" to file name

I did a brief search for this request, but didn't find anything similar. Situation: VLC Player for Win10. I have a number of screen-captured MP4s in different folders that I need to reduce the file size of. Sometimes a folder will contain multiple files, and sometimes only one. I navigate to each, u...

Re: audio play sorted by filename - VLC for Android

Hi everyone, Dekans just solved my problem in another thread , but I still have a problem similar to the one being described here. c4r4j0_ar wants to be able sort media by file name and/or date. The version of VLC for Android I'm using (3.0.11 beta) automatically sorts everything by title. *I* would...

Re: Playlist autoplay

Thanks - your suggestion to upgrade to the beta version (3.0.11) has fixed the main problem I came here for. Now when opening a playlist and "long clicking" on the first item, I see the option to PLAY ALL, and this does exactly what I was looking for. The only problem now is that VLC autom...

Re: Playlist autoplay

Hi Dekans, Thanks for the reply and the link. I've registered for beta, and will look for the new version and see if this solves the problem. Just to let you know, I've contacted Sony's support team, and they're just as confused as I am. They seem to think the TV should play everything in the playli...

Re: ! VLC Appreciation Thread

Given the amount of time I've used VLC, and that I'm currently receiving some support/feedback from the developers - THANK YOU / MERCI. This is a great app. It works on my TV, my PC and my tablet. I install it almost as soon as I power up a brand new device. I've donated a little money in the past, ...

Re: Playlist autoplay

v3.0.11 brings back the 'Play All' feature. Long press on a video, then select 'Play All' Hi Dekans, Thanks for replying to me. I've posted similar threads to TVersity and Sony forums, and so far, you/VLC are the only ones to respond :) I've just checked, and my TV is running 3.0.10. I've just trie...

Re: Playlist autoplay

For the record, I've just rebuilt one of the playlists into something TVersity calls an Atom Feed. Slightly different XML. Same problem. Can see the playlist on the TV in VLC; can choose a video from it and play that video. The playback stops at the end of that playlist item. EDIT: I've just tested ...

Playlist autoplay

Hi - I've spent time looking for an answer to this question; maybe I've missed it. Thanks for any feedback you can provide... I run TVersity Media Server from my PC, and my Sony Bravia connects to it wirelessly. The media library is fully visible on the TV; I can browse through the folders, play son...

Re: VLC audio stutters

This sounds exactly like my problem as well. Found the folder in question (C:\Documents and Settings\<Account>\Application Data\vlc), exited out of the app and deleted it. This actually helped, but it did not get rid of the problem entirely. I watch drumming DVDs on this computer, and the stuttering...

Re: Choppy audio and video

I've been using the VLC Media player for a while now. Within the last few months, I've noticed that the audio stutters (1-2 ms) when playing DVDs from the disk. It doesn't seem to do this with media files on the hard drive, and none of the other media players I use (Win Media Player, Real, Quick Tim...
