I have started adding SCTE-27 support. But I would like to have more samples to test the decoder. Does anyone have other samples that they could upload?
You should try VLC 1.2. With this version, the snapshot will be correctly taken after every video filters have been applied. One difference with 0.9 though will be that the video will be upscaled (ie you will have a picture of 720x480 instead of 720x240).
"ts warning: invalid header [0x49:10:c6:db] (pid: 7680)" means that a least a program is ciphered.
The hangs you see are probably due to the high numbers of such messages.
To see if it would be easy to add the support of SCTE-27, I would need a sample (around a minute at least of playback).
Nothing is missing from the logs you posted, I simply said that what you see (between 1.1 and 1.0) is expected. The code in 1.1 has been reworked, and some debug messages has been removed (in the code itself).
I will wait for you results.
There has been some debug messages removed explaining the differences in the logs. About the leak you experience, could you try the following patch ? diff --git a/modules/video_output/msw/directx.c b/modules/video_output/msw/directx.c index 6b0a6df..b15d61b 100644 --- a/modules/video_output/msw/dire...
And clearly, this file is BROKEN and windows media player ignores the errors.
Why don't you want to report the problem to the software vendor ? They are the one doing the errors and they could fix it easily.
You can for example use TSReader Lite (the free version).
With it you will have in the "MPEG-2 Statistics" frame: 324 PAT Sections with 324 CRC errors.
Hi, Ignoring the CRC is not a good solution, it will creates problems with perfectly valid stream that had transport problems (and so have local corruptions). For example, with streams coming from DVB/ATSC satellite, or cable, or terrestrials or from UDP/RTP. The best solution would be to report the...
In VLC 1.0 Closed Caption in the sense of US subtitling IS supported on all the samples I have found. It simply appears as normal subtitle tracks in the video menu. Do not confuse Closed Caption and Teletext as they are NOT the same thing at all. If you have a sample for which the Closed Caption sub...
I have added support for such buggy file by [0ea77dfd682d73ec7e1b0c089dc52d1de8e9e690] (vlc master).
It would be cool if you could post a sample somewhere to validate the fix
I have fixed the issue in vlc master ([3d9eb4d80736a1bdb3bcb0c382bd14e55199aa63]).
For the time being, I think you can workaround the problem by disabling menu support for thoses DVD (in the VLC DVD open box).
You put only one pack header in the entire file. That is not valid. An extract of ISO/IEC 13818-1 says: "The Program Stream shall be constructed such that the time interval between the bytes containing the last bit of system_clock_reference_base fields in successive packs shall be less than or ...
Unless I am wrong you are using AAC encapsulated into ADTS and not into LATM. For ADTS you must use 0x0f as stream type instead of 0x11. Now you must be careful because you can only use MPEG-II AAC with ADTS in a PS or TS stream. If you want to have MPEG-4 AAC you must use LATM encapsulation which i...
Your PSM is invalid. The ID used for the video and audio track are the same whereas they should be 0xc0 + audio_index for audio 0xe0 + audio_index for video I would advise you to find the ISO/IEC 13818-1 to help you create valid PS. Now, for the audio, I see that you use stream_type 0x11, is it real...
Hi, Do you have more information on the file ? What tool created it ? I have looked at it. It seems bad formated to me: the "System Header is incomplete" and so hide the PSM that is behind it. A hex dump gives: [1] 00 00 01 BA 5E 0B EE 3F 94 01 00 A3 D7 F8 [2] 00 00 01 BB 00 06 [3] 00 00 0...
It is simple: Content-Type is not reliable for a lot of servers (file servers). In the general case, our internal demuxer detection code works better. On the other end, with icecast/streaming server, the first frame sent is often broken (start in the middle), while Content-Type is always right. So w...
