Can you tell me wich version do you use and where you downloaded it?

Why after about 0.8 version VLC started to open http:/ streams very long time (about 1 minute)? Sometimes, when you watch online stream this can lead to important information miss. Maybe it is possible to avoid this problem?

What for exist such video output module like "Video memory output" ? It is possible to get from that Video memory video stream using VLC commands, and further manipulate with it (transcode, multiplex, save...) ?
