Oops! Spoke too soon I think.
That one dependency was libdvdcss which I dowloaded, did a ./configure, make & make install but it still comes up as dependency. Tryed logging out + rebooting but still there. Do I need to do something so it can be seen?

Starting to get a real headache from all those dependencies. Half of them install (but then still show up as dependencies when I go to install VLC) and the other half have some obscure problem at the configure or make stage.
