Yeah that solution was posted previously. But I've customized a lot of things to where I save my vlcrc & ini files for backup. So I was looking for a way to fix it while preserving all the settings I've customized. I was able to do that as well.

Can't edit my post anymore. The 3 odd characters in the beginning have to do with the program used to open vlcrc. When using notepad or notepad++ they don't show up. When using a word processor like Atlantis Word Processor they show up.

Editing the ini doesn't work for me. It looks like something is causing a problem in the vlcrc file. Hmm, that list isn't updating for me at all. I cleared it and opened up ~5 more files and it still didn't update.

Example: I listen to large playlists on random so when a new track starts there's no way for me to check what the previous track was.

A list of the previous 5-10 tracks would be really nice.

Yeah, if you could add an option for logical sorting that would be greatly appreciated.

I get the same problem with some, but not all high quality(1080p 8GB) mkv videos. Is there a quicker way of setting this? I only want it mirrored for one video so it's kind of a hassle to go in and change this twice(on, off) every time I want to watch the one video.

Is there a way to set the speeds it increases at when you press "+"? It currently goes from 2x 3x 4x 8x and at 8x there is usually video distortion, pauses, no sound, etc. so I was trying to find a way to set it to go to 6x first. Thanks.

lol the icon shows after I renamed it to vlc2.exe - but just for the main file in that folder, not all the other shortcuts I can't extract the binary version into that folder, "cannot open output file" or "access is denied - cannot create output folder xxxx" oh, I extracted it so...

when I uninstall there is a folder left - I think it's the plugin one - and I've deleted that after I uninstalled but I don't think it did anything

will I have to reformat to get the normal icons back? but even if I do reformat I want to know what not to do so this doesn't happen again :/

I've been running xp pro and haven't ever had any problems. Just upgraded to win7 64bit and I think this started happening after I tried the mozilla plugin... not sure though. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it without the plugin though and it's still happening. icons on video.mpg for example still...
