Some hotkeys don't work

i found these hotkeys not working>
ctrl+P for view playlist
ctrl+M for view messages window

i noticed in the interface>hotkeys that there's another command assigned with ctrl+p when playing a dvd - can this be the problem?

vlc version 0.8.4.

yes this settings works fine.
but another question is is if ther's a possibilty to play a video fullscreen on both devices at once.?

subtitles display only when i select them manually
