At present, no binary package for YellowDogLinux exists as far as we know. You need to download VLC's sources and the ones of the third party libraries and compile everything on your own. Please have a look at this document for details.

VLC on a Mac running YellodDogLinux

Hello,
is outhere a pakage to install VLC on a Mac running YellowDogLinux 3?

I'm a newbie with linux so i don't know if i need a specific package or i have just to download sources and compile it from zero. Any help?

OS X 10.3.6, VLC 0.80.
Strange... postprocessing is finally working (here) in version 0.8.
Try deleting VLC preferences:
/Users/your_user/Library/Preferences/org.videolan.vlc.plist

This is supposedly fixed in the current build.
"Current build"=incoming final 0.8 or the aviable 0.7.x?

Your VLC preferences that OSX keeps for the program are broken I think. I've deleted those preferences several times in the past... but no way to fix that :( Are there any other preferences file somewhere in the system? I haven't find anything *vlc* in locate and find database. Any hidden pref file?

Postprocessing doesn't work on MacOS X

Hello, it looks like post processing feature doesn't work on VLC MacOS X client (now i'm using VLC version 0.8.0-test2). Whatever i see (DivXs, XviDs, MPEG4s .mov, MPEG1, MPEG2) just stop working when i enable post processing. It doesn't care if i set post processing low as 1 or high as 6.... it jus...
