VLC is a freeware so you can use it without worry, but it cannot decode Real formats (until ffdshow reach to decode them IIRC)

Yes,
here, double clicking a file A when VLC is already playing a file B, just makes VLC add file A in playlist and automatically play it.
but it doesn't open another instance.

still can't open 2 VLC here, with last branch built (20080923-0207)

Moreover, italics and bold work PERFECTLY for me.

on very last branch built it doesn't here (xp sp2)
doesn't work if using arialbd font or vlc font.

Hi should be set as a bug ? as a feature request ? anyway, as says the title, in Minimal Look we can't access prefs easily by the [Ctrl+P] keyboard shortcut. actually the only way to access prefs from this appearance is quite heavy : right click > Interface > uncheck Minimal Look, then Ctrl+P :wink:

There is some others topic on this issue but i didn't really read them completely.

It's true it was quite acceptable when it was for wmv and some mpeg IIRC, cause it's not most codecs/container used nowadays, but for Xvids yeah it's quite annoying

fullscreen controller is fixed in the upcoming 0.9.3
I think they aware about subtitles color too, don't know if it's fix yet

i`m controling play/pause with the spacebar, don`t think that there is realy a button needed.

That's what i was wondering yes, but actually... if you have a Wireless mouse, a not a wireless keyboard, this way you can fully control the video at distance with mouse only

For now, in your case, you still can use Keyboard shortcuts to jump 5s, 10s, 1 min, 5 minutes, or whatever value you want, go in prefs to see the shortcuts, never remember them cause I always change them for another ones.

Go to Prefs\Advanced\Video\Subtitles-OSD\ => put a negative number to "force subtitle position", then save prefs.
Unfortunately you'll have to close and relaunch VLC to see the effects but it should work.
