This is an old bug that i see isnt getting fixed.
After you download a subtitle and and start a new video, finding new subtitles doesnt work, no matter what you type. The subtitle search doesnt work unless you close the VLC window and start it again.

The issue is still present in the latest version of 3.0.16 Vetinari. If you have "Image Adjust" checked/activated, screenshots come plain green. You should create a new ticket on the VLC Trac with your above report and the link to this thread: https://code.videolan.org/videolan/vlc/-/issu...

I checked some videos from my old DVDs and for some reason VLC only renders sound on ASF files and no video. Did it drop support for it? I would always expect VLC to play any video formats, especially old ones. Thanks.

It is really frustrating that because of this very little issue, a feature that comes with VLC, out of the box is broken. VLC should have made a new version with the fixed .luac file asap imo.

Anyone? I got used with this extension that downloads subtitles, but it is really troublesome to use.

For about two weeks, when i load the VLSub 0.9 and i hit Search by hash , or by name , it loads like ten seconds internally, then a tiny window pops up with this message Extension 'VLSub 0.9.13' does not respond. If you go to the properties of video files, the filetype extension appears twice.

Example;
VLC media file (.mkv) (.mkv)
VLC media file (.mp4) (.mp4)

This is not right.

Well, it isnt. I have been explaining you something that i have encounter happening for many years.
You try opening some incomplete video files and vlc will play some other cached source of another video. Even if the source has been deleted..

I didnt say VLC deletes videos. I said that it loads videos that were deleted long ago instead of the corrupt video you try to load.....Please re read.

When you are starting to play a video file that was partially downloaded, VLC cant play the certain video you open, but instead, it plays a different video that you either have on your drive, or even if you had it there but you ve long deleted it. Why does this happen ?

I also have the last issue you mentioned. Exactly the same. But that used to happen in the 32bit version also.
It happens rarely though...

A few days ago i installed Subtitle Edit and as it needed the 64bit version of VLC to play videos, i said i'd change VLC from 32bit to 64. The program works as good as the 32 bit, but something weird is happening after i close VLC. It pops up this box where it says VLC media player 2.15 has stopped ...

hi, i multitask most of the time when i am watching something in vlc and i was wondering....

Is there a way to block put the vlc window in the top-right corner of the screen and have it there, with the video playing, no matter if i switch to other pages ?

Hey, i was wondering. Is there a way to create an online stream from our machines and send a link to our fiends to view? It shouldnt be hard to implement. We would chose the video we want to share. Then VLC would generate a link for us to send. It would look something like this: http://123.12.123.12...

As VLC has already an Romanian translator, they shouldnt need my help. What i can do, the Romanian Translator can do also. Probably better than myself.

Hello, the previous versions of VLC had a bar at the bottom which was containing the name of the filename that plays. Is there a way we could add it back?
