Choppy audio and video

I had no problems with Version 1.0.5, but installed 1.1.5 anyway. It no longer asked me if I wanted it to fix my broken video indexes, but my videos were very choppy. I didn't get any messages. I uninstalled that and went back to 1.0.5 and everything is ok again. The laptop I installed the program o...

Re: How to slow down the playback speed?

Oh, I assumed that button was to back up the playing position. I thought that was a standard. When I press that button, it does slow down the video, but the sound is missing. It's an AVI file I'm playing, with the VLC index fix. Am I out of luck? Now that I've got the playback fix working automatica...

Re: AVI Index - way to save the fix?

Never mind - I backed up from where the link took me and found the bit about the Demuxers and having it do the repair automatically without asking. I've changed the setting now, and that works well enough. Thanks for the help.

Re: AVI broken message window - can it be on top?

I don't see where to file a bug report - I scanned and did some queries on the FAQ. All I can find is something about being on the development team if I want to report problems. But I did find the bit about doing the fix every time without asking, so I'm fine now that I'm not getting that window. Th...

Re: AVI Index - way to save the fix?

Thanks for the reply, VLS_help. I did say I'm in the clueless category of user. The DivFix++ has language like: Windows users can download ming32 compiled Win32 and ming64 compiled Win64 binaries. For compiling DivFix++ from source you need to wxWidgets 2.8.0 library or newer and Virtualdub looks sca...

How to slow down the playback speed?

I see that people are slowing down their playback speed, but I can't find where to do that. I've read that the video has to be playing already, so I've tried right clicking and tried looking at the menu items, but I don't see that function. Maybe I don't understand the words. Really, I read the FAQ,...

AVI broken message window - can it be on top?

The error message about the AVI index file being broken? It's up now, buried under who knows what, so I can't play my video until I can find that message. That's another reason (see my other posting) why it would be really nice once it fixes that index to keep the fixed index to use again and not ma...

AVI Index - way to save the fix?

The AVI Index panel that comes up every time I play my Canon SD870IS videos - AVI Index is broken, do I want to fix it. Is there a place it should be putting the fixed index so that next time it doesn't have to ask? How would I make that happen? Is that related to the issue that once a file has fini...
