Same here, Get this error when opening a folder from VLC. Drag & Drop from windows explorer works fine btw. I De installed version 1.1.1. then downloaded and installed the 1.1.2 executable BTW, the option "Open containing Folder" when right clicking on a media file doesn't work either ...
