I am trying to create a stream for my mythtv recordings to my Droid X (or any android phone for that matter). I have come up with a suitable transcode line --sout "#transcode{soverlay,ab=128,samplerate=44100,channels=2,acodec=mp4a,vcodec=h264,width=480,height=270,canvas-width=480,canvas-height=...

With your solution, how would you hint the stream appropriately for 3gp. If I pre-process with ffmpeg, then run mp4box to add hints, it works fine. I haven't come up with any way to do this on the fly.
