I am trying to use VLM, and I am following all the examples I can find, but I can only launch VLC and nothing happens. I am assuming I am not using the correct version.

Does any one know what version of VLC was used when the VLM examples were posted in the howto section chapter 5?

What version of VLC did you get this to work?

If I am capturing a webcam, and select mp2v and Output "playback local" and "file" the file is OK, but, the display, the vieo is playback at about 8fps and the file it recorded is OK

If I select mp2v or h264, the display is OK.

I am using VLC and encoding H264 video...No problemsm BUTm If I start another instance of VLC and try to use the H264 codec, it does not work.

Testing, I can run one VLC using H264 and another VLC using MP4 and it works fine.

Any ideas, how to get VLC to "share" the h264 codec?
