Plays perfectly with a nightly build of three days ago on my system

Just downloaded one of the cam files and it stutters on VLC but plays perfectly on WMP

I have the last VLC nightly build on an ATI 4200 (old drivers; 10.7 didn't work for me)

Well try the message option. Just run the video, open tools/message, change the verbosity to 2... save the info you get and post it here.

I'm sure someone more intelligent than I will be able to decipher the cause.

Plays perfectly on my system, Robertini (I am using last night's build)

Running a Radeon 4200 card on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
I just uninstalled the new Catalyst drivers and I recommend the same to everyone else. Just had my third blue screen and it seems to be happening to others too.

I'll wait for a better driver set to properly test the DxVA2

You shouldn't get that message. Many of us install on 64-bit machines

Warner I think you can check here over the next week or so and get the release, it won't hurt you to check in if it doesn't prompt you to update

Tried to play the 2160 file and the driver crashed, no BSOD.

But an hour or so later, tried to play a simple youtube video and got a BSOD referencing this file atikmdag.sys

One more thing; the slider doesn't work on the recorded video. Is that usually the case?

I have it enabled and on that Iron Man 2 video I have 25% usage
