Hi there, loyal VLC user for years here. I am running VLC 2.2.4 Weatherwax on Ubuntu MATE 17.04. While playback continues to be great, I have noticed that with mp4 files, seeking seems to get stuck and it takes 5+ seconds to resume. I am directly opening the file.

Mounting the ISO seemed to work. Is it possible to play the movie by directly opening the file?

I'd like to add that I have successfully played the files using Leawo blu-ray player. This software seems to skip the menus and just play the movie title so there may be some correlation as to why VLC can't play the movie file.

Any ideas guys?

Yes there are black bars on both sides of the visualization. I cannot do a Print Screen of it because whenever I paste the image the visualization is missing.

Hi I installed version 1.1.2 and when I use visualizations when listening to mp3s they have black border on both sides. How do I change this back to the old style?

When I play a MP3 or other audio The VLC player now has the logo centered in the middle of the player.
