So I tried other video output modes and so far everything else I've seen listed to try and fix the crashes. Nothing worked. Not a thing. So I uninstalled 1.1.0 and reinstalled 1.0.5. No crashes. I had that same issue, and more, with 1.1.0. I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling 1.0.5. Not a single crash since.

This happens to me with video. VLC 1.1.0 will lock up on video run or completion about 40%-50% of the time. So far it has locked up on mkv, mpg, and avi. I haven't tried audio files yet.
