Re: stupid font cache error!

I just installed 1.1.1 and still have the font cache error. VLC is still unusable, and I still have to restart the computer to get it to quit after trying to play a video.

Re: stupid font cache error!

Issue is known one. It's nice to know that it is a known issue . . . Can we know if there are plans to fix it? Ar theree no work arounds for those of us who have completely non-functional VLC? I've uninstalled 1.1.0 and tried to put 1.0.5 back on, but the 1.0.5 says that it is version 1.1.0 in the ...

Nope. Didn't work. I installed 1.0.5, went in and unchecked the option you said, and tried playing a movie and got the font cache error again. Now I have to uninstall VLC and reboot again. Is this a prevalent error or is it just a few of us that have it? Since VLC is now completely unusable for me a...

Re: Building font cache

Now that I'm calmer, I'd like to ask if anyone can tell me how to get 1.1.0 off my computer. I'd like to reinstall 1.0.5, which actually worked. I've uninstalled 1.1.0 and rebooted and when I install 1.0.5 and look at the version . . . it says it's 1.1.0 and hangs up with the font cache error. Every...

Re: Building font cache

VLC 1.1.0 is a big mistake. Take it back. I've upgraded on two computers now and both of them no longer work. I can't seem to get back to 1.0.5 either. Windows 7--one computer is 64 bit, one 32 bit. I get the Building font cache error on the 32 bit. I get audio but no video on the 64 bit. I hate hav...
