Video playback skips when I jump forward/back

It repeats a fraction of a second if I jump, is there a memory setting I could adjust that might help?

Possible to have sound below 25% playback speed?

Is it possible? I use virtualdub to correct sync issues so this would be a handy feature in VLC.

I would also like to know if this is possible, I find it odd that the speed resets when looping.
