I made it.

I just downloaded a new updated version of VLC. When I want to install it I am asked to enter my administrator login. I have never before had this problems.

Why is that?

Video -> Deinterlace ->

I tested every deinterlace option. The video also stops for some seconds and and plays for some seconds and so on.

What do I need to do?

Please tell me where I can turn on the deinterlacing?

Yes I am using a smaller resolution. I have changed to different outputs but the results are not better.

Other suggestions?

I want to watch on a HD video 1920x1080. But the video is very jagged. Do I need to have some codec installed for that?

I am using VLC 1.0.5
