Unfortunately with command-line-parameter --codec=ffmpeg I get the same crashes but more often.

EDIT: I have since tried versions 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 and all remains the same.

I would try to solve this in one of two ways. 1. Set the NIC, which is connected to the stream, to be the first one in Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Advanced -> Advanced Settings. There you can move connections up and down with arrows on the right. So put the one through which you want VLC...

And I also can't find 1.2.0 anywhere. I know I found 1.1, when it was still beta and RC, but I just can't find 1.2.0 now.

I just tried to playback my sample to see if it's a good enough sample for what I'm trying to show you. And it is. VLC media player 1.1.0 just crashed when AR change should happen. I have again sent the crash report to developers... I have no idea what might cause this. But I can tell you a bit more...
