I'm sad that all the colours have gone... but if that's the only way to please everyone let's keep with that ;) Just some remarks: - please use lower case for the font name if you use zip compression, otherwise your skin doesn't work on linux. - it doesn't appear obvious that the windows are resizab...

layout are more efficient and were made for that !! seems that they were not made for being used with videos because that creates a mess. Yes, indeed, that's precisely the bug I am supposed to fix, but it doesn't work with different windows either so it is not a reason not to use layouts !! ;...

When switching between Video and Full Mode, the images and buttons that change their state of visibility dont dissapear, only disappearing when the window is resized. I'll have a look at it tonight, it should not be hard to fix OK... in fact it is hard to fix ;) What you are trying to do is a dynam...

checking for dvbpsi_GenSDTSections in -ldvbpsi... no
This probably means configure cannot find libdvbpsi.so... Did you install it in /usr/local/lib ? If yes, do you have "/usr/local/lib" in /etc/ld.so.conf ? (and why did you add --with-dvbpsi-tree=/usr/lib in the configure options?)

Comments on Skin is a great idea. But as this skin is supposed to be a default one it would make no difference because it wouldn't listed in the download list. Being the default skin doesn't mean that people don't have the right to rate it... the more we have feedback from users, the better it is (...

What about green?: http://altglass.al.funpic.de/d-gfx/stuff/Default(Light-Green).vlt Personnally I prefer the blue version to the orange or green ;) Anyway maybe they are all too "flashy" for a default skin, which should I think use quite neutral colors. For example I really liked your &q...

I think what the guy told you about gstreamer was for totem, not for VLC. Indeed VLC has nothing to do with gstreamer, most of the AVI decoding is handled by the ffmpeg library.

I've just implemented this feature, it should work with the next nightly build.
However it will NOT work with the xmms skin on the site, but you have to load directly the original xmms chaos skin (or any other winamp2 skin, by the way) at http://xmms.org/skins.php
