Re: moire & window size bugs caused by large videos

I thought they were the same option because they have the same popup message. I tried the one you said, and the same thing happens.

Re: Lack of compatibility with a certain character

I have a similar problem. I have no problem opening & playing files with rare characters, but they don't show correctly in OSD - they render as squares. They show correctly on the title bar, however. My locale is set to Korean on an English version of windows, by the way. And this may not be a v...

Re: moire & window size bugs caused by large videos

Okay, thanks. it's Preferences-Video->Output Modeules->DirectX->Use hardware YUV-RGB conversions, uh?
I tried Direct3d output modules with that grid unchecked, but the video is always absent.

fullscreen contoller with a skin

Is it difficult to have a fullscreen controller when we use a skin, as the one we see when we check Preferences -> Interface -> Main Interfaces -> Qt -> Show a controller in fullscreen mode?
One that shows only if we move the mouse cursor or move it to the bottom.

problem with skins

I remember this problem from the last year, so sorry if this is a known bug, but upon a minimum research, I coudn't find this subject in wiki or in recent forum entries except this : VLC 1.0.5 32-bit with skin crashes on close from taskbar. http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=71921&am...

Re: moire & window size bugs caused by large videos

Only Simple DirectMedia Layer and Directx(DirectDraw) work for me. The problem happens with both. In the case of DirectMedia, if I'm not in fullscreen mode the problem does not happen but it's because it's unscaled. Unchecking Overlay doesn't solve the problem, either. I tried to convert the file to...

moire & window size bugs caused by large videos

Hello. I see horizontal moire effects when playing some MPEG files with a great video size, that is a great number of pixels in a line. Such as this one : http://uploading.com/files/e9a1eb5d/moire.ts/ In a recent version of SMPlayer I *think* I see the same artifact, but I can't tell clearly because...

taskbar in fullscreen mode

Hi, I'm using vlc 1.1.0 The Luggage on WinXP SP2 now. Sometimes when I go in fullscreen mode using the default key 'f' the taskbar is showing. Then I shift to another program and back using alt+tab keys and it disappears. I used to use some previous versions including one 1.1.0 RC one, and never exp...

Interfering with 'turn off monitor' feature & etc

Hello, I'm using VLC 1.1.0-rc3 with Windows XP SP2. 1) In 'Display Properties' of Win XP, I have checked the 'turn off monitor after some minutes' feature. In VLC, I have the 'Disable screensaver' option checked. Before I run VLC, the power saving option works. But when I run VLC, it doesn't work an...
