Re: VLSub crashes constantly

I got asked about this in a private message. The point is to help everybody, so I answer here. In a Mac the "installation directory" referred to in the Windows forums, is Applications/VLC.app. To see the contents, right click (ctrl click) VLC.app and select "Show Package Contents"...

Re: VLSub crashes constantly

Thank you xceno22! The process explained by Rami does indeed work for Mac too. From Rémi Denis-Courmont at the Windows side of this forum: https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=136182#p449717 : OpenSubtitles.org has apparently updated their servers. That uncovered latent bugs in the ve...

VLSub crashes constantly

I've had this issue for quite a long time now. Every now and then the VLsub 0.9.13 extension breaks, and only crashes when clicking either Search by hash or Search by name. Opensubtitles.org is up and running, and the subtitle in question can be found via a web browser or FlixTools.app. Removing VLC...

Re: Unable to change hotkeys in 1.1.0

Upping this for 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 daily 2010-09-05. Very Short jumps still not visible in Basic settings, and advanced settings still duplicated and not modifiable. I also noticed that in the vlcrc file there are these entries for short jumps: # Very short backwards jump (key) key-jump-extrashort=Comm...

Re: Stuttering playback for .rm files.

Are you able to provide access to the video, so we can see what is happening?
Unfortunately no, it's a commercial that hasn't been published yet. I've been trying to find a .rm file to present the problem with, but I barely have any. I'll try to find a suitable clip somewhere.

Re: Stuttering playback for .rm files.

Hows well does the official player from Real handle it, for comparative purposes? The install procedure reminded me why I've never used RealPlayer before. Turned out to play the video without stuttering and with good picture quality, until I rewind to beginning in fullscreen which hung the app. But...

Stuttering playback for .rm files.

VLC 1.0.5 and 1.1.0 RC both stutter on a .rm file. Mplayer OSX Extended rev14-test2 plays the file back smoothly, while admittedly having slight pixelating-like aliasing problems. Stuttering happens both in fullscreen and windowed. The file itself shouldn't be that tough, 424x240 24fps, around 700kb...
