When I try to watch a movie and add japanese subtitles, instead of japanese text appearing in the subtitle space, only squares appear...
I have japanese language installed on this Computer (Win7), do I need to install japanese language files for VLC, or what do I need to do?

As I wrote, I have uninstalled and re-installed three times.....

I have already tested three different VLC editions,and the problem is the same in an all ofthem: the sound stops playing properly after 1 or 1,5 hours. The video run normally, but the sound stops---- I have to close down VLC, then restart it, move to the place where the sound stops and then it works...

Why does it download and install the german version, without asking?

Why does that toolbar, in german Werkzeugleist , both the one line and the two line, do what it wants and not what I actually have clicked? There is no save button, when the setting is finished?

I had to change a few things on my Win 7 ulti set-up, and now VLC no longer plays a wav file....
I did uninstall a few NVidia drivers, they informed me to only leave the graphics driver installed.

What did I do wrong?

I no longer have it.... as no one seems to know what it is, or how to convert it, I tried a few converters...

I have downloaded a file with this name: VLC media file (.flv) (.flv)

Rightclicking on properties shows 92 MB, which is expected.

But no matter what I try, I cannot get it to play. I even treid other palyers, but..... nothing.

You know you can use the 'a' key to change aspect Ratio? You know you can change the language in the first panel of preferences? If the AR selection in the fullscreen controller does not work, this is a bug, and it should be reported and fixed. My God... after all this years... now he tells me !!!!...

As VLC has the bad habit of not asking for the language before installing, I will have to try to translate my german setting. In video preferences. I used the german version, and cannot find preferences. I uninstalled, re-installed new, but it automatically installs the german version... Still, when I click on Video, there is no preferances in the menu--- and nothing that could be remotely translanted as preferences....?

VLC Player can now record, which is great.

Where do I decide which folder the recording will be saved in?
