where can I check this. I've just installed VLC, didn't change any setting. how to change it to directx mode?

I've installed the current version and when I try to watch video it shows only on my monitor and not in the TV which is connected via S-video. same computer when I use GOM player it shows the video on the TV with no problem at all. computer has ATI radeon 9550 with video set to be displayed in Theat...

I'm using VLC on ubuntu 10.04 and I've configured th Xvideo setting to show the full screen video only on my TV and not my monitor. is there a way to make this permannt or to switch to full screen video without using the menu? this option is only on the menu "video".
