I read this article, but im not sure i understood it right. i did it like in the discribtion, but it didnt work. i m not sure what to do with Advanced [x] (I dont know what it means. preferences ----> Advanced [x] -----> Audio ------>Audio Output Module (Choose Win32 waveOut extension output) Save

i have the same problem. i have also a amd 64 cpu on an nvidia board and every movie i open the sound is very loud and it crashes. when i close vlcthe sound is completely death, i must restart my computer then. im using the newest version. what can i do???
