but on my system it will suddenly close when loading MKV subtitle.
using vlc 1.0.6-9.1 on opensuse 11.2x64.

yes.(libass3 0.9.6-2.14 and libass4 0.9.7-3.2)it is automatically installed as part of dependencies on software manager.

Hi, im using VLC 1.0.6-9.1 I cant get the subtitle displayed on MKV file. whenever I play MKV file, the subtitle is disabled. when i enable it by selecting available subtitle track, the player just quit. still not try with standalone(.srt .idx .sub etc..) subtitle yet. previous version(1.0.5-1) work...
