What is "VlC web plugin needs your permission to run" about?

For the first time in my years using the media player I'm getting interrupted when attempting lo look at a video by a blank screen with a logo in the center and a message underneath saying, " VLC web plugin needs your permission to run". I don't know why this is now occurring. I'm using a ...

I cannot get the "a to b" looping video option to work

I don't know if I'm missing something, if it's a conflict with my operating system, or what the problem is, but I cannot get the (advanced control) option of selecting points a and b for continuous looping of a video clip. I have been clicking on the "a" at any given point during the video...

Re: Can you retain slow motion settings when looping?

You can set the rate from Preferences, that way it will be used on all videos.

Settings autosaving will hopefully be in VLC 1.2.0

Sorry, but I was unable to find any way to set slow motion for (all) videos in the preferences section. Could you be more

specific about the location.

What happened to the "a" to "b" points only playback option?

In earlier versions of VLC there was an option of video playback between selected points"a" and "b" only. I was never able to get it to work properly anyhow, but have you removed this option altogether? I certainly haven't been able to locate it recently.

Can you retain slow motion settings when looping?

I received a forum reply once before (couple months ago or more, but identity of sender now unknown) on this same question...... that the ability to retain slow motion or any play-speed settings when looping or repeating a video was coming in the next version. It appears that this feature has not ye...

Can you retain slow motion settings when looping?

Is it possible to retain whatever customized speed setting you have selected on a video playback when you also select looping or automatic replay? The apparent default is that the video will revert to normal playing speed when starting again. Can this default be changed?

Re: Buggy malfunctions with XP Pro, SP3 correctable?

 Bingo!!!...Problems solved!!!.....Reverting back to VLC version 1.1.4 does eliminate the above stated problems, so huge thanks go out to Mega Cone Master for the simple but excellent reply. Too bad 1.1.4 has some other bugs of it's own (with my system anyhow), but we won't go into that no...

Buggy malfunctions with XP Pro, SP3 correctable?

I am getting an assortment of issues with the VLC player even though I've tried re-installing more than once, and from different sources. 1. Videos have frozen on an early frame with audio continuing to work. 2. When video did play it didn't always respond to slowing or speed-up clicks. 3. Although ...

Need help on video point A to point B selections for replay

One of the options apparently offered by VLC is to mark custom portions of video clips for replay by selecting the start point (Point A) and then selecting the stop point (Point B) for ending the portion of the clip you want for replay. I cannot seem to get this option to work, no matter what I've t...

Can slow motion setting(s) be retained when looping videos?

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to retain any specific slow motion settings so that they are not lost when a video clip loops or repeats it's play cycle?

I am unable to set Point A to Point B video replays

I've tried everything I know to edit video segments (for replay or re-recording) by using the Point A to Point B option, but have thus far been unsuccessful in doing so. When the replay begins my player reverts to a point before point A and freezes, usually. I'd appreciate someone telling me what I...

Can slow motion setting(s) be retained when looping videos?

I've noticed that I'm losing any slo mo setting I introduce when any video segment is replayed or looped. Is there any way these two features can be used simultaneously with the current VLC player, or would that require new programming? (Windows Media Player has this capability, for instance)
