Re: 1.1.2 ***STILL*** not shutting down properly

Yeah, I've been thankful for VLC for years and years, and have gotten a ton of people to switch over to it. In the past when there have been bugs I've done the whole "hey guys - it'd be great if you can please fix this - keep up the good work!" But this time it's simply ridiculous. MANY pe...

Re: 1.1.2 ***STILL*** not shutting down properly

That's not a legit attitude in this arena. It makes sense on a juvenile level, so it's not total crap, but on a mature level that just doesn't fly. It reminds me of that old nursery rhyme where the other animals don't help in baking the cake, so they don't get to eat any. Yeeeeesh. You can certainly...

Re: 1.1.2 ***STILL*** not shutting down properly

"Because you didn't fix it?" I don't know what that means. Is it a sly way of saying I should either reprogram VLC myself or STFU?

1.1.2 ***STILL*** not shutting down properly

This has been complained about MULTIPLE times for a COUPLE OF MONTHS now. VLC is not shutting down when X'd. The icon remains in the systray and the program's process is still running. How in the name of all that is holy is this NOT GETTING FIXED?!? "Ctrl+Q" is not a solution. [WinXP, ATI ...

Re: VLC 1.1.1 Win XP keeps crashing

Exactly the same problem here, and this has been mentioned on other posts - at least as long as a month ago - AND YET NO FIX YET. Really frustrating. How hard can it be?!?

Is anyone from VLC actually reading this and *doing something about it*?!?

Good lord PLEASE fix the wont-shut-down bug

NUMEROUS people have complained recently about VLC not shutting down properly. If I finish watching a video file, then close VLC, then try to delete the file, I am not able to because VLC is still running. Lo and behold, there's the little icon in the system tray. Sometimes it shuts down properly, s...

Re: SCREEN DIMMER PLEASE!!!

F*** YEAH!!!

Thank you!

That is a fantastic feature - why isn't there some indication that IT EXISTS, somewhere in the menus??? I've been wanting that for a long time, and play with alot of the VLC settings, and yet never stumbled upon it. Seems too 'hidden'!

Re: SCREEN DIMMER PLEASE!!!

The z key doesn't change the zoom when it's in the ('o' - key) 'screen dimmer' mode.

How do I set a custom zoom for the 'screen dimmer' mode? Or is it 1:1 pixels no matter what...

Re: DVD-chapter auto-resize problem

Just tried 1.1.0 and it crashes every time I try to open a DVD with it. The baby went out with the bathwater....sheesh.

(And when I play a simple .avi file, the color is all wacky...blue/purple hue everywhere... sheesh(x2)...)

Re: SCREEN DIMMER PLEASE!!!

Nice, but 1:1 is almost always too small. So that's really not addressing the need (and the potential for coolness).

How about throwing in a 1:1.25 and a 1:1.5 and a 1:2 option! That'd work.

(Thanks, though - good to know.)

DVD-chapter auto-resize problem

OK, here is another problem that has been around for a LONG time now, and I'm not seeing it get fixed. When playing a DVD and changing the resolution to other than original or fullscreen, the native resolution pops the size back to normal at each chapter. I've seen numerous posts about this bug and ...

SCREEN DIMMER PLEASE!!!

Good lord, this request has been made for YEARS now. A screen dimmer would be really nice. HULU does it, YOUTUBE was doing it (not sure why they stopped..), DIVX player has it (or had it), Picasa photo viewer does it, etc.... Is it so hard to implement? Most of us are using monitors that are at leas...
