I downloaded a couple of 4k videos from Youtube and they played just fine. Too bad the compression degraded a lot of their quality.
I played with no lags with an Intel Q6600, but probably it'd be skipping if the quality were better/less compressed. Let's hope 1.1.1 helps us with DXVA for ATi.

Bitstreaming works for ordinary DTS and AC3, but I can't make it work with TrueHD.

I extracted some MLP files from a DVD-A. Both DVD-Audio Explorer and MediaInfo show them as 24-bit @ 96 kHz, but VLC shows as 32-bit:

It works fine with XVID, but with H264, I get almost no frames. It keeps still until another frame shows up, many seconds later.
