I can give you some of my code. I assume, that you have correctly initialized the activex object, but it seems so because you see the icon in the window. In xbase++ i use: //Define an array to pass to vlc //In my app the settings in the array do no function, but you have to //pass an array public ao...

mosaic debug "too late picture for ..."

Hi all, I use vlc with mosaic to stream 4 files (VOB) as an multicast mpg2 ts stream. All the 300 source files are loaded at the beginning and each 10 seconds I stop a channel and play another one. I do this with the telnet interface. This works very well. But after some time, for example 20 minutes...

Hi eri, I use in my application 4 different vlc windows at the same time and I have no problems when destroying my windows. But I use Xbase++ and not C++. The only thing what I found is, that when you destroy a activex window of vlc and you want to recreate it, you have to wait because the destroy p...

activex and cpu eating

in our application we use 4 small activex windows (116x85) to show 4 different mpg2 ts multicast streams sent in 116x85 pixels. We did this before by using 4 VLC instances without activex and it worked very well without any problems. Now with activex this workes well for a few minutes. The applicati...

streaming 4 TS streams changing all 10 seconds

Hi all, I'm streaming 4 .VOB files from disc to multicast adresses as TS streams. This works very fine at the beginning. Now I'm changing 1 of the 4 VOB files every 10 seconds, means, every VOB is only send for 40 seconds, then it changes to another. When doing this it works fine for about 30 minute...

overlay with 4 instances of VLC

Is it possible to run 4 x VLC and all of them with overlay mode? The first instance starts in overlay mode, 2-4 in nonoverlay mode.

Is it generally not possible for more than 1 instance to share overlay mode, or do i have to set some settings?

Hello again,

now I read a little bit more about the transcode. When I understand right, it is necessary to use #transcode to use the mosaic filter. Means this also, that mosaic cannot be used actually? Or is there another way to do it?

Hi Albert, perhaps you know it? My idea is to use 1 VLC process to transform the 4 VOB files from disc to a TS stream and send them for example to 4 unicast adresses. A second VLC process reads these streams as input and makes the mosaic. Because the inputs then are already TS2 streams there will be...

streaming with mosaic - cpu usage grows

Hi all, we test since a few month with streaming 4 VOB-Files with the mosaic-filter. All is working very fine, but within 1 hour cpu usage grows up to about 100 %. We use the following instructions, sent by a telnet interface: new c1 broadcast enabled setup c1 input z:\\001\\01.vob setup c1 output #...

no the inputs are ripped DVDs placed on very big RAID systems on the same machine. We tried to use different nightlies versions between 085-20060110 and yesterday. The versions of march actually cannot be controlled by telnet interface, I don't know why, though we used different versions of January ...

3x3 mosaic with 9 VOBs to 1 multicast TS no linear cpu usage

building up a 3x3 mosaic I found, that the cpu usage does not increase linear by adding channels to the mosaic. I get the following values of cpu usage playing 1 channel 1% playing 4 channels 2% playing 5 channels 12% playing 6 channels 21% playing 7 channels 58% playing 8 channels 88% playing 9 cha...

Hi Antojne, I'm sorry, but we have absolutely no errors in debug logging. First we had, then we added the nosound option and then all was ok. Only on the client side we get errors like "libdvdpsi error <PSI decoder> TS disconiuity <received 0 expected 6> for PID 66", but this happens only ...

memory leak solved, but now problem with cpu usage

Hi Antoine, today I tested the nightly build version 20060213 and found, that the problem with the memory is solved. But after a while I found the following problem: When starting VLC to stram it takes about 8% of CPU time. Within 1 hour its increasing up to 85% and the stream is flickering. This pr...

mosaic 4xvob to TS - memory problem

I've build a mosaic sending 4 different VOB-files to a multicast adress as a TS stream. This works very fine. But each 5 seconds I change 1 of the VOBs to another : new c1 broadcast enabled setup c1 input y:\001\01.vob setup c1 output #duplicate{dst=mosaic-bridge{id=1,height=150,width=200},select=vi...

how to get [color=red]time information [about source streams

I stream 9 vob-files together in a 3x3 mosaic. Is it possible to get informations about the time positions in each source-vob? Also, how can I get the time position of a file in the player. Of course I can see this time in the player window, but how can I get it by an interface? Thanks a lot in adva...
