Force the ffmpeg demuxer in preferences.

Audio -> Input / Codecs -> Demuxers
Even search didn't help, I looked up vlcrc config file as well, nothing. Now it'll be easier for others to find it.

So I press "g" or "h" and it's not being applied. It just goes as it goes. Maybe you fix it already? It's really pain the ass going in options and setting it manually (subtitle delay), besides you never know what value to put in, so changing the delay in real-time would be awesom...

Oh, I figured it out, it's because of yadif 2-x deinterlacing

oh come on, it should mean something, otherwise what's the point in it? So how can I configure it so I will always have the max quality a video can afford?

previous version could handle it, but the latest seems to have issues with mpg-files.
Maybe if I change some of encoding settings as it was in previous version? What do?

And at the same time, merge "play speed" and "video's duration" with the upper (by deleting unnecessary from it), so there would be one line instead of two.

But there would be a difference in quality if I lower some values, right?

So how do I configure it so I'd have the max possible quality in the output? (of course I can't outperform the quality of the video itself, but I want it to at least not to worsen it)
