Re: What are the limitations for animated bitpmaps

I'm using the VLC skin editor and I am not using the subbitmap option so in that sense aLtgLasS is right. No height or width need specifying and if they did, there no where to specify in the VLC editor. I think I have glitch. Actually last night a went and cleared my Java cache and maybe I'll get lu...

Re: What are the limitations for animated bitpmaps

I think I know what's wrong. Haven't tested it yet but I think my frames are to close together for animated bitmaps. Having the frames that close together works fine for sliders but I'm guessing not animated bitmaps. And I probably have to many frames. I'll run a test later if that is what problem i...

Re: What are the limitations for animated bitpmaps

Could you describe what's not working or share the png file?
Basically when I test it in VLC it stays static at the very top frame.

What are the limitations for animated bitpmaps

I'm testing an idea I have for an animated image in my skin but it doesn't seem to be working. I've read the image needs to be setup vertically in a film strip type fashion which is what I have done. However, i'm curious if there are other limitations. For example is there a limitation on the amount...

OH okay I understand. Oh well it's still an awesome utility tool. Thanks a bunch for your hard work. If I wasn't jobless and almost homeless I would send some donations your way. To bad I don't know how to code and help you that way. For know I'll make and submit more skins. I'm almost done with the...

Re: I made my first skin

Nice new skin.
Thanks, I'm working on the mini for that skin right now.

Should be looking for a job but jobs in California are becoming ever so slowly extinct. Oh well.

Re: VLC Skin Editor // Current release: 0.8.5

First the VLC Skin Editor kicks mutha eefing ass!! Coolest utility tool I think I have ever used. Even in it's infant stages it still kicks ass. If not to difficult Having some folder option in the resource library would be cool. Example http://www.pipelinepromotions.com/library.png I was also going...

Re: vertical slider going up

Also one thing I discovered on my own without looking for documentation was using the point pen tool in the VLC Skin Editor and how add other points. I struggled for a while until I sort of accidentally found out that if I held down the shift key it activates the point tool add point function. So, i...

Re: Windos MEdia Player

The quick answer to your first question " Is it possible to create a skin that looks like media center? " is yes. However, because VLC is still limited in the way it renders transparent images the process for creating skins like media center can be very extensive project even with the skin...

Re: Using SKINS. I did not think I was a moron-until now!

Whoa easy does it. You stated that you "scanned, defragged, and cleaned your registry. Does that mean you scanned all your machines and scanned for what? It's possible you have spyware or virus on all your machines. Also you might have conflicting software running on your machines. For example ...

Re: Skin Editor fails to save file

I'm new to the whole VLC Player and Editor but hopefully these suggestions will be of some help. What that means is I don't everything. Just brainstorming what might be ( In General ) possible solutions. 1. In the VLC Editor try scouring all attributes for all the elements for typo errors. It's high...

Re: I made my first skin

Also everyone has the right to use it as referencing and making other versions. Moving buttons around etc. Some changes will be more difficult even requiring the use of your preferred image editor.

I made my first skin

I made my first skin and uploaded it to the VLC skins page but thought maybe posting a preview here would be good and offer it for sharing and critique testing etc. on the forum. Made with the latest version of the VLC skin editor on Windows XP SP3 platform. I have to say I'm about 2 weeks new to th...
